H13屬于熱作模具鋼，是在碳工鋼的基礎(chǔ)上加入合金元素而形成的鋼種
力學(xué)性能
硬度 ：退火,245～205HB,淬火,≥50HRC
交貨狀態(tài)
布氏硬度HBW10/3000（≤235））
H13鋼是使用最廣泛和最具代表性的熱作模具鋼種，它的主要特性是：
（1）具有高的淬透性和高的韌性；
（2）優(yōu)良的抗熱裂能力，在工作場合可予以水冷；
（3）具有中等耐磨損能力，還可以采用滲碳或滲氮工藝來提高其表面硬度，但要略為降低抗熱裂能力；
（4）因其含碳量較低，回火中二次硬化能力較差；
（5）在較高溫度下具有抗軟化能力，但使用溫度高于540℃（1000℉）硬度出現(xiàn)迅速下降（即能耐的工作溫度為540℃）；
（6）熱處理的變形??；
（7）中等和高的切削加工性；
（8）中等抗脫碳能力。
更為令人注意的是，它還可用于制作航空工業(yè)上的重要構(gòu)件。
H13模具鋼用于制造沖擊載荷大的鍛模，熱擠壓模，精鍛模；鋁、銅及其合金壓鑄模。
